Sugar Business
1. Wangkanai Sugar Company, Limited
The Wangkanai Sugar Factory was the place where the Wangkanai realm was established. In its earliest days it could crush only 8,000 tons of sugar cane daily. Major improvements were made resulting in a great increase in sugar production capacity.
The factory’s continuing effort in developing the quality of our products and services was acknowledged when the ISO 9002 Quality Management Standard System Certificate was awarded to Wangkanai Sugar Factory on 17 March 2000
2. Chaimongkol Refined Sugar Company, Limited (U-Thong Sugar Industry Factory)
The U-Thong Sugar industry Factory operates under the same management policy supported by sugar cane growers who are its major shareholders. This arrangement helps the factory attain its business goals to stimulates the development of the country’s sugar industry.
The factory’s continuing effort in developing the quality of our products and services was acknowledged when the ISO 9002 Quality Management Standard System certificate was awarded to U-Thong Sugar Industry Factory on 26 February 1999. Besides this, on 22 May 2000, the Factory achieved the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certificate. This refects the high standard of the company’s environmental system and its awareness
3. T.N. Sugar Industry Company, Limited
The T.N. Sugar Industry Factory was established as a joint venture between the Wangkanai Group and the Nissho Iwai Corporation, which has always provided valuable support to Wangkanai. It was designed to manufacture raw, white and refined sugar with very high efficiency. The Nissho Iwai Corporation has also provided assistance in overseas marketing.
The factory’s continuing effort in developing the quality of our products and services was acknowledged when the ISO 9002 Quality Management Standard System Certificate was awarded to T.N. Sugar Industry Factory on 4 February 2000.
The Ratchasima Sugar Factory was founded with the policy of obtaining produce from local sugar cane growers. Its primary objective was to serve as the sugar production center for Northeastern Thailand. The factory helps create jobs for local workers and is a center for the manufacture of products for export.
In conformity with the Group’s basic policy, cane growers participate fully in the factory’s support. The Ratchasima Sugar Factory is a major facility that uses high-level technology imported from Japan and Australia.
The factory’s continuing effort in developing the quality of our products and service was acknowledged when the ISO 9002 Quality Management Standard System Certificate was awarded to Ratchasima Sugar Factory on 17 February 2000; Besides this, on 11 June 2002, the Factory achieved the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certificate. This reflects the high standard of the company’s environmental system and its awareness.
